Denis Meinert, CFO for Hire (25 years of business, financial, and human resource experience)
Denis Meinert was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He graduated in 1982 from Grove City College with a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting. He joined H. B. Maynard and Company, Inc. in 1982 doing accounting, financial analysis and contract administration. In 1986, Denis became Maynard’s Controller and in 1991, he was promoted to Vice President & CFO and elected to the Board of Directors of H. B. Maynard and Company, Inc. While working at Maynard he became a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) in 1984 and earned an MBA from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1987. Maynard was acquired by Accenture in October 2007 making him available to provide value to your organization as a CFO for hire on a part-time basis or for special projects. He has worked with established consulting and law firms as well as start-up technology and robotics companies.
As Vice President & CFO Denis directed the company’s financial planning, accounting, legal and human resources practices as well as its relationships with lending institutions, stockholders, insurance vendors, outside accountants, legal counsel, landlord, and travel agency. As part of the leadership of Maynard he established and implemented strategic direction and operating policies, and managed the business in a manner consistent with its values and objectives.
Denis was active in the Association of Management Consulting Firms (AMCF) and the Pittsburgh Technology Council (PTC) Chief Financial Officer groups. He also was President of his local youth basketball league for eight years and he served as the Council President of O'Hara Township for eight years. Currently he serves on the board of Pittsburgh Habitat for Humanity (www.pittsburghhabitat.org).

Maynard helped companies improve workforce performance through expertise in labor management, best methods, workplace organization, labor standards and staffing using industrial engineering principles.
Denis believes it is important to think like an owner of the business, that people should focus on what they do best, and in managing the business through continuously improving processes. At Maynard, this meant handling the accounting, finance, human resources, legal and work environment needs of the business through a support team, so that the other owners and staff could stay focused on serving clients.
